I have been working at CGI full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The share purchase plan is good, they match what you put in.
There is a good social committee that you can take advantage of.

    Cons

Horrible pay, and no appreciation for a job well done. There is no equity in the pay scales, new people coming in from outsourcing deals could be making several thousand over what current employees are getting. There is no training on new products.
I feel that even though I work hard, my efforts will never be rewarded, monetarily or otherwise. There have been no raises since I've been there.

    I worked at CGI full-time

    Pros

    - Good salary
    - Possibility to move laterally inside the company
    - Looks good on resume for a consultant

    Cons

    - Employees treated like numbers (billable utilization)
    - Managed by administrators, not leaders of people
    - Work/life balance difficult to achieve for most
    - No top-down communication, lousy effort at most
    - Little go-to-market strategy at practice level
    - Low regional performance = No bonus

    Advice to Management

    - Your employees are human beings, not robots or numbers
    - Learn to communicate, it's pretty simple really
