Pros

hours good if you can work quickly, people are wonderful individuals, Management is quite competent and works in employees' and patients' best interestes.

Cons

payscale, age of workforce, 24 hour operation, call schedule is deadly number of non-overtime hours, senior workers are not required to take weekend or holiday call. That isn't fair to new, younger employees.

Advice to Management

Provide hourly wage to social work staff

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

The people that work for Alegent are the best reason to work there. Everyone works hard and looks out for one another, like all big company's there is a fair amount of politics, but at Alegent, it was not as bad.

    Cons

Sr leadership was suspect. It was sad to see the same people in the same jobs making the same bad mistakes.

    Advice to Management

Quit looking out your own best interest. Quit spending $30,000 on a conference room table when you are predicting the "gathering storm" of healthcare financial troubles. Quit hiring overpriced washington politicians as consultants when layoffs are pending. Quit spending Millions of dollars on hollywood advertising for subpar commericals. (By the way our competitors commercails who are done in house with actual employees are 10x's better and I'm sure only cost a fraction of what alegent paid.
