    Pros

    Company prefers to hire less during times of need. This typically translates to laying off less in hard times (in the mortgage industry, this is great news as it creates a more stable atmosphere). This company has also had some great low level managers and enhancement opportunities do exist if you work for them. It has been a pleasure to work with, despite a constantly shifting atmosphere.

    Cons

    Pay Raises and Performance Reviews do not happen - as such, only a promotion or being truly invaluable and complaining about pay will get a pay raise. Nepotism is rather rampant. I do get a "two face" feel from upper management, however and upper management has significant priority and understanding issues with certain departments.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to the little people more, there are needs that are not being addressed. Also, do performance reviews. It helps to make employees better through creating professional and worth-while incentives; especially if you apply related pay-raises.

    Pros

    All sales people and sales managers are FANTASTIC!! Love love love!!!!!

    Cons

    OPS managers have NO CLUE what they are doing on East coast. Relied too much on the " worker bees" to figure out issues. Also while they start you out at a decent salary..it is like pulling teeth to get a raise. No matter how far you go above and beyond your regular duties and how much you bust your butt...it goes un-noticed. No recognition and good luck getting a raise that is actually decent!

    Advice to Management

    You say you promote from within BUT...you DON'T! Certain depts. Are taken advantage of 100%. Expected to work your life away..stay late log in on weekends and have no work /family life balance. At bare minimum every 2 years at your employee reviews you need to give salary increases if and where they are deserved. Considering ALL factors involved. The fact that an employee answers cell after hours (sometimes 8 and 9pm)and...
