I worked at CPR Cellphone Repair full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A very professional cell phone repair shop amongst sketchy independents. Service, customer assurance and satisfaction are key.

    Cons

Franchise owned. My particular boss did not know how to treat employees with proper respect. He was a first time business owner with a full time job in a completely unrelated work. When mistakes happened, he was 'forgiving' but would constantly remind employee of it as 'object lessons'. He also portrayed somewhat deceitful business practices.

PS: location (and therefore salary) can not be revealed for annoymity sake.

    Advice to Management

Franchise headquarters needs to provide 10 times the dedicated support to new shops for at least a year if not longer. Not just support to owner but to the rookie technicians.

    Pros

Big name company, as a technician you can get to know a lot of different gadgets and electronic devices, happy work environment (when there is work to do).

    Cons

Impossible to get a day off no matter for what, sickness, personal needs, none, I understand the each and every employee needs to adhere to the schedule, but we are humans rurounded by humans, so, one day and one day only should be given off if requested with reasonable time and reasonable reason.

    Advice to Management

Try to work it out a little better with the technicians, in terms of job/salary deals and, days off exeptions, at the end of the day this is a cell phone repair shop and technicians do the repairs.
