No opinion of CEO

Pros

Filled with really smart people - that you'll rarely get to interact with since you'll be on client site.
Client engagements vary wildly. Some are great and fulfilling work - many are not.

Good e-learning and tuition opportunities.

Management is trying to adjust, but it really seems like too little too late.

Cons

Pay and benefits are average.
Raises barely match inflation and are based on factors beyond your control.

Promotion and appraisal processes are a nightmarish paper game that give HR something to do. You may be appraised by a manager that never even saw an ounce of your work.

Work is boring and projects are hard to leave - horrible for development.

Advice to Management

People are treated as a commodity and they wonder why company engagement is a problem.

To compete with the large consulting firms, stop behaving as a temp agency.

Focus on your product: your consultants.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

On my contract I got to travel to many place overseas and I had great co-workers. The on-site experience was great.

    Cons

CSC contract program managers have an incentive to please the client over the employee. There is no investment in the employee.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees. There needs to be more engagement between the contract program managers and employees. Our PMP only came around every couple months to glad-hand the client.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

salary was competitive and work was challenging at times. Large company with reasonable growth opportunities within the company for those who work long hours.

    Cons

work hours often exceed 40 per week and quick to lay-off people who don't maintain direct coverage at all time.

    Advice to Management

Listen more closely to employee business gorwth ideas, establish stable leadership team in Huntsville and provide leadership to technical teams.
