    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at CSC full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Large company. Good benefits. Variety of positions available. Can move from job type to job type if you make the right connections.

    Cons

They have defined career paths, but just pay lip service to them. No one will encourage the employee to advance, and many obstacles will be put in the way to prevent salary progression. It is not uncommon to find people with responsibilities far beyond their remuneration and job contribution group, but management will say "just give it a little longer to show you can do it". This can happen for years! Of course all the time they are paying a pittance for an excellent performance. Demands will be made to cancel booked vacation, then prevent it being taken later in the year, it's virtually impossible to carry over

    Advice to Management

Actually implement the career paths. Pay people when they have shown they can do the job. Be encouraging instead of knocking people back and keeping on promising something "later".

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very easy to be good in the company as there are so many who lack the drive initiative and are shy of handwork.

    Cons

A dated company which needs a serious redesign in order to allow it to compete again. Company culture rewards lazy uninterested people which hampers innovation and kills motivation.

    Advice to Management

New business plan required. Pay industry salary rates. When redundancies are required, use this as an opportunity to get rid of people who do not contribute to success.
