I worked at CSC full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

One of the best reasons that are good about CSC is that we were allowed or work from home. The CSC people I interacted with were supportive of each other.

Cons

Contract work. When the contract ended it is up to the employee to find another job within CSC during a certain time frame. If you are unable to find another job...get hired...then CSC lets you go.

I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

renovated office looks nice, decent benefits, salary is not stagnant, working from home is frequently an option, matched 401k

    Cons

    Unstable jobs...
Budget cuts can now only usually be made by cutting staff, technologies are being converted to one tool whenever possible so if you don't work with the correct one your days could be numbered no matter what, hours either suck and are irregular or are decent but it just depends on what division you work in, outsourcing is running wild whenever possible, high deductible health insurance, minimal opportunities due to budget restraints
