    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    + Most co-workers are excellent
+ Culture of most teams seems to be good

    Cons

    - Low compensation compared to demanding travel requirements

    - Bonus plan was based on utilization (bill-ability) but was insulting low. I'm talking a couple hundered dollars after taxes per quarter and nothing annually.

    - Direct management is good, as is most project management, but upper management has zero direction, and the focus of the company changes almost monthly.

    - Outdated technology

    Advice to Management

Increase consultant bonus plans to make us actually feel rewarded for billing 100% of our time at 5-10 times our salary per hour. You make tons of money on us and instead of rewarding you fatten up exec salaries.

I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    * Opportunities to work with various clients
    * Opportunities to work on a variety of projects
    * Great internal technical resources
    * The experience at CSC is what you make of it

    Cons

    * Career coaching is ineffective since coaches are often in another city and have no idea what kind of work you do
    * Performance measures are inaccurate since coaches and managers typically have no idea what kind of work you do
    * Career progression, salary increases and bonuses are difficult to come for the same reasons as above

    Advice to Management

CSC can be far more effective in the market place by building a stronger team through changes made to their internal resource development program. Managers and coaches need to better understand the work of individual consultants to place them more effectively and help their careers grow.
