I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Dumb management you can get away with most anything. Flexible schedule, You can miss days at a time an no one notices.

Cons

Look at the pros. Upper management is made up of slime ball sales people who sell vaporware to customers and then put pressure on the internal staff to lie or come up with a solution that they can push off as the promised one.

Advice to Management

Before you bid on projects/contract meet with people who are supposed to deliver the service and get their help and buy in.

    I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Recent efforts to engage staff are promising but have highly limited returns. Opening for several areas that are promoted are non-existent or rare.

    Cons

    Not necessarily a company you can remain with due to contracts expiring or potentially not being renewed. Opportunities are limited and usually require years of experience or extensive technical training and credentials. Raises are not common and many staffers have been on the job and not seen pay increases for as long as three years. Lower level Managers do not appear to have the experience to effectively lead and it reflects very poorly on Upper Management. There are many, many more cons than just those mentioned. My recommendation is to avoid this company if you are in the US looking for employment.

    I worked at CSC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Multiple high-quality resources and some genuinely good people to consult with. The size of CSC provides for many opportunities to network with others.

    Cons

    Slow moving due to their size. Much effort is focused on cost cutting, and those costs usually involve valued team members. Communication between customer and CSC is vague, and that makes it difficult for CSC employees to provide the best service to those customers.

    Advice to Management

    Please consider looking at the big picture and stop focusing solely on the this quarter's bottom line.
