I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Made up of good people who work hard and want the best for their company and their customers.

Cons

Cost consciousness, heartless, management-by-spreadsheet (or management consultants).

Advice to Management

Value employees like you say you do, communicate effectively, make decisions with put other people and the company before your own comp, and the workers will take care of you with the results

I worked at CSC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Decently Talented Co-Workers
    - Tons of Resources (if you can get them to pay for them)
    - Good Work-Life Balance (9-5pm type of job)
    - Good Educational Assistance Policy

    Cons

    - Employees are treated like numbers (90,000+ Employees)
    - Tons of Middle Management that only acts to stand in your way
    - Many silos among different organizations that make it difficult to get cross-functional projects done
    - Operating on a new Outsourcing Model that Doesn't Work
    - Seems like they're trying to be the "Wal-Mart of Outsourcing"
    - Employee Reviews that mean nothing and go no-where (You'll consistently be ranked 3 out of 5 so they don't have to give you a raise)

    Advice to Management

Hard to say - Many of top and middle managers I spoke with didn't seem to have a clue. For Middle Management I suppose its hire the right people, give them the tools to do their jobs, and work to build relationships/collaboratively with other managers. For Top Management - Thin out the middle management and get the right people in there. You have some very talented workers with too many people that just didn't have a clue on how to manage them.

I worked at CSC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The only reason i liked working there was the previous company they acquired had all the great team to continue working

    Cons

The acquired teams are treated poorly , no HR connections or contacts, high level sexual discrimination

    Advice to Management

Even though people did not originate from your parent company there are real talented hard working people who make your customers keep you.If customer can acuqire some of them , they do not need CSC.
