I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Health benefits, 401K plan, work in air conditioning.

    Cons

Too much employee turnover. CVS does not give it's pharmacists the man power to do all they require.

    Advice to Management

Offer technicians a bit more in their pay and they would probably stay other than the CONSTANT turnover and retraining of new employees. Stop asking pharmacists to leave their critical "verification" post to beg customers to call a 1-800 #. Stop believing the SSS is the most important thing in life. It is NOT. It's NOT a true indicator of customer satisfaction. Take a look at the long lines at our register when you've dwindled down the help. My store has had their tech hrs. reduced to ridiculous. Most of the time we have 2 people covering 4 areas, PLUS they want RPh's to go to the register and ask people to call the 1-800 #, plus they want the RPh's to make PCQ calls at least 4 times a day. STOP it with the PCQ calls. I don't have the man-power to do them. Redi-fill has cost CVS more time worked than ever and it's cost CVS mistakes. Older people have picked up Rx's filled on Redi-fill, go home, take the med, not realizing their Dr. had stopped it. Computer generated voices tell people that they're RX will be ready by 5pm the next day. What a JOKE. Does CVS really know that that Dr. will be available for the pt's refill. NO, they don't. They make it up. So when the Rx is NOT ready, the customer gets mad at the staff. Way to go CVS!! CVS has implemented more programs that have all failed. Why? Because there really is NO time to do it all. Offer customers a calm environment. A professional environment where they can converse with their pharmacist. Instead their pharmacist is busy making PCQ calls, and going to the register 20 times a day to get people to call a number. Offer people incentive when they call and MAYBE they actually WILL. The human population works off incentive, that's why the SSS 1-800 # calls are bogus.

I worked at CVS Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job itself is not too difficult. You end up getting a lot of experience in many different areas that can be transferred to other opportunities.

    Cons

As a supervisor, you are run ragged. You are doing everything that the associates do as well as almost everything that the managers do. You are also repeatedly ignored when you request more hours for the store to allow for more coverage for the day or when noticing problems and offering solutions.

    Advice to Management

Please listen to your associates and supervisor. They tend to know what they are talking about when they see an issue in the store. You really need to have a larger team on the floor at all times. This will make employees happier which will in turn make customers happier.
