I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive hourly rate with overtime, flexible hours at times, various locations.

    Cons

Depending on where you are will dictate your support system and level of work you will have to do compared to others.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your hourly supervisors; at the end of the day they are the ones doing the tasks and doing the things that run the store.

I worked at CVS Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great pay
You hire who you want, so that's a plus
    Sadly, that's about it

    Cons

Every store gets same amount of hours each week, whether it is busy holiday week or slow summer week
With every single thing you do, you have to print a report out and sign it to show you reviewed it
Most things you do, you have to email the district office and let them know you did it, which is time you don't have
You have to write action plans on every thing, and submit those action plans every week as proof you did them
You are very micro managed. While you are responsible for making sales and thinking like a merchant, corporate determines what end caps you set, even if your market won't sell a single piece
Four out of the seven day work weeks, you (the shift or manager) are by yourself in the morning for 2-4 hrs each day because you don't even have the payroll to support 2 ppl there at all times
You have to work every holiday and 6 days a week most of the time because CVS only believes in making money and will not close on any holiday including Christmas.
When there is a meeting, you have to attend it on your "day off"
There is constant negativity from your DM bc they have to meet their sales goals, so they don't appreciate you when you don't meet your budget for the week, even though like I said you are forced to set the store according to corporate, which is why if done correctly, most CVS' should look the same when you walk in
The new thing is observation sheets and walking customer to item. So....how can most customers get walked to item when most store only have 2 ppl working at all times, if that. Cashier is up front, so if manager on duty is in office, stockroom, or RX, who is there to walk them anywhere?
Observation sheets are ridiculous. You are required to "observe" each employee two times a shift and write down what you observed, then discuss that with the employee.
I can go on and on....please for your own good, do not apply. I promise you, you will regret it. I gave over 10 years to this company, until I decided it just wasn't worth it,

    Advice to Management

Stick to the basics. DM will always say "its your store, its your store." Ok, then stop micro managing every little thing I do. I'm shocked a bathroom chart doesn't have to be submitted every day.
