I have been working at CVS Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Gain experience as a tech.
    -Online do it yourself training
-Ability to work with various pharmacists

    Cons

    -Not enough tech help
-Usually just one pharmacist. During their lunch, we get yelled at by customers because we can't release new prescriptions without the Pharmacist present in CA.
-Every little action has a metric.
-PCQ calls - Calls to repeatedly bother and convince customers every week to refill their medications that they don't need such as fluticasone nasal spray and etc.
    -Pressure to make every customer
-Hourly compensation cap of around $15.50 in San Mateo, CA area for techs (source: my co-worker has been working there for 20 years and is only making $15.50)
-Customers treat us like we are a McDonalds.
    -Work becomes very stressful sometimes
-Company does not care about their employees

    Advice to Management

-Provide more training for pharmacists and techs.
-Loosen up on metrics that are impossible to achieve.
-Stop all demeanig statements to employees in front of customers.
-Teach Pharmacists how to be successful managers/supervisors

    Pros

    Weekends Off Twice A Month

    Cons

Very Unprofessional, Most Managers Are Very Corrupt. District Managers Are Discourteous To Hourly Employees, Huge Disparity Of Pay For Minorities That Does The Same Extreme Work But Paid extremely Lower than Other Employees. Discrimination TTAgainst African Americans

    Advice to Management

The Problem Is Headquarters in Woonsocket Rhode Island Knows the problems that exists yet they do nothing about the issues when notified through the ethics hotline, or through employee relations. The only thing that is left is to file civil lawsuits. company under control
