I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Employee discount at their retail stores--- not really a discount because everything in their stores is overpriced. 401K.

    Cons

Short breaks, you are expected to only use the restroom during your breaks. There is no room for advancement, unless you suck up and backstab. They will not work around your schedule if you are attending school. Part-time is only available to those who have a disability. Employees receive very poor training, especially for Medicare D. We were expected to learn a large amount of information in a span of one week! They did not care if we passed the assesments in training, we were still expected to take Medicare D calls (and they wonder why the company was under sanction). High call volume, customers call in the majority of the time irate due to problems with the mail order service. It is difficult to get requested time off, requests for time off are usually denied, wait listed or deferred. Not being informed of changes in your schedules until the last minute or when you arrive for your scheduled shift and you discover you're supposed to be off that day! Having to wait for months to change your shift via shift bids, and if your ranking is low, good luck getting a good shift. They changed their medical plan from ppo to HSA and force employees to utlize a local CVS or go through mail for maintance drugs. The plan also penalizes you for getting brand name medications if there is a generic. Supervisors are worthless, they do not provide any support to their teams, or play favorites and they sit in their cubicles surfing the internet or texting on their phones.

    Advice to Management

Get it together! Start improving on how you train employees to perform their jobs and make an effort to improve the company entirely!
