I worked at CVS Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to move up in field, even starting at cashier
Trusted to do several jobs at once without much supervision

    Cons

Specifically my store, we were very short on staff. One cashier on a time with manager or a shift supervisor - didn't allow for any room to balance schedule out.

Taking a hiatus for 2 months resulted in having to do the 8 hour training course all over again. Unnecessary and made it difficult to go away to school and come back to work.

Lack of shift supervisors resulted in them sometimes working 10-12 hour shifts.

    Advice to Management

Train more cashiers to be shift supervisors. Allow the option for a hiatus without a second formal training (or create a specific training session for those coming back from a hiatus).
