Pros

A salary and 401K. A real learning experience to get an education.

Cons

Poor leads. saturated maket, beg for orders, no real value add, a commodity. This results in poor compensation for efforts. Overlap in territory w other sales people. Very strong internal competition for same orders.

No milage paid or expenses. YOu pay it all out your pocket. Managers from old days when selling cable had no competition and had value. Very cheap company. Better off walking dogs for a living.

Advice to Management

Change comp plan for field. Get rid of management layers - too top heavy.

    Pros

    Training was decent. Pay was lower than normal pay but they did a lot of role playing to get you ready.

    Cons

    Not great supervision of employees. Hard to get time off. Couldn't wait to get out of there everyday.

    Pros

    Opportunities to move up within the company via internal job postings before they go public.
    Night time differential for late shifts is nice incentive to work the later shift.

    Cons

    Getting stuck pulling a double shift due to blizzards.
    When first started the devlopers of the in-house tools were too picky on who gets to use them. The whole support department should have access to new tools even in testing stages as that will allow for more feedback and debugging.
