      -Excellent way to make money on the side, especially for graduate students or postdoctoral researchers needing extra cash -Exposure to different areas of research -Opportunity to have an impact on scientific publications -Chance to improve scientific, analytical, writing, and editing skills

      Cons

      As others have said on here, the ratings system is remarkably inconsistent and seems biased towards lowering your score so your payout is either 100% what the editing job promises or less. Cactus advertises that you have the opportunity to improve payout based on your quality ratings, but I'm on my 17th job and my average has gone from 3.5 to 2.8 very quickly.
