    Pros

Cadmus is a company that is run like a family. You work closely with many in the company, which allows you to really know who you are working with.

Senior Management always has their door open.

There is plenty of work to go around, so you are usually pretty busy. Most employees are from pretty prestigious educational institutions, so most are pretty well educated in their field (and have a lot of experience as well).

There are many offices around the country, so there are opportunities to get to go to other cool place.

    Cons

Management can be a bit harsh at times or get extremely stressed when a deliverable is coming up.

There are a few different functional groups in the company; they don't cross-collaborate. It is as if there are many different companies under one roof.

If you get assigned to a project that you're not interested, it can be an issue since it could be all you're doing for months.

    Advice to Management

Be more open-minded; allow your different functional teams to work together.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Innovative benefits like personal growth benefit and paid bus passes/bikes. When they were a smaller company, the atmosphere was loose and flexible.

    Cons

poor communication of overall strategy. Inconsistent communications. differences of opinion on how to run the business among partners. shifting set of work standards depending on what "clique" one belonged to.
Hiring practices lent themselves to favor friendship over competance. Partners were often rude, and demanding and at time had little regard or sensitivity to those around them.

    Advice to Management

    Consistency is key.
Uphold your lofty ideals and set a better example for your employees. Set a code of professional ethics among the partners and hold workshops on the proper professional handling of staff. Too often are lines crossed with regards to professionalism.
