I have been working at Caesars Entertainment full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Very demanding, high-paced environment. Behavior expectations set early on by Sr Management (mid-level starting to do this more too). There's a lot to learn (it seems never-ending in a good way). Fun and smart co-workers (many top-college caliber talent that really push you to do better/more). Sr Management in department open, smart & extremely inclusive. Great exposure to C-suite and cross-departmental/functional work & strategy.

Cons

Work space isn't great (although we are moving to a better facility, at Caesars Palace, soon?!); Sr Management, within the department & outside of the department, expects a lot from Analytics - you need to know this upfront.

Advice to Management

Capital contstraints are obviously an issue with the company but they seem to be chipping away and probably wont effect the business negatively ( at least from an Analytical pespective).

    Pros

Good benefits, Good co-workers, nice facility

    Cons

poor, inexperience managements and directors, bad food

    Advice to Management

In my life working as an IT, my biggest mistake was working for Caesars Corporate IT. My biggest accomplishment was leaving the dept. Caesars has a good culture with happy employees as long as you don't step inside the System Analyst border. Expectation in the department is very high and they expect a lot, really a lot from the the employees. They make sure the money was well spent. Managements are inexperience, unorganized, and are on the same leash. Department directors are lazy and micromanage if you don't meet their expectation.

What I have witnessed during my time of employment in the department:

    1. Verbal abuse (lots of yelling from the Directors) to the offshore team when they were training the new employees
    2. High turnover rates due to the nature of the work and what was expected. An employee end of in the ER due to a panic attack.
    3. Directors working at home where they are suppose to be at the office
    4. Micromanagement from directors if you don't meet their expectation
    5. Constant change of procedures if certain things doesn't work.
    6. Lack of communication and organization within the departments
    7. If they question your ability to perform, they will interrogate you as their backing to fire you.
    8. During the interview, you are never giving full details of the nature of the work or the work load expected as they do not want to scare you to look elsewhere.
    9. It's all about who you know to advance anywhere.

Don't make the same mistake I did.

I worked at Caesars Entertainment full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pros are you get to do the work of 3 people but only get paid for 1.

    Cons

Company is top heavy. There is a VP of everything you can imagine and all of them are working toward their own goals and often against each other. Company "thinks" the are innovative, but are typically last to market with any sort of innovation. Senior management is too wrapped up in pleasing their boss. The property General managers have no authority to run their own properties. ESS analytics is a joke of a department. Lots of VPs and Directors who haven't had an original thought since being hired. Really not sure why they exist other than to deliver power point presentations or email out monthly summaries that were actually written by the managers who actually do all the

    Advice to Management

Get on the same page and focus on actually running the business instead of just pleasing your division leaders. If this company has any hope of surviving, they need to get rid of the highest layer of corporate leadership.
