Pros

The people and culture here are supportive and friendly making it feel like a close community. Location right downtown is nice bc it is close to everything including the bus. Your hours are from 9-5 and there are really never any late nights...maybe one or two a year.

Cons

Leading management is not forward thinking. They are protected...or controlled by the Marketing and IT department which is also not forward thinking. Callison takes on the persona of most traditional architects, "It's always worked why change it." All this while the company is sliding behind the profession with employees that can push forward.

Advice to Management

Bring new innovative blood to Senior Management or give a voice to the real people who make up the company and listen to their ideas. There are some very smart passionate people, let them lead the company and you as Senior Management should make sure that is supported and celebrated.

I worked at Callison Architecture as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Interesting large scale projects, co-workers were nice people with good skills, nice working environment and office, good work-life balance. They also use Revit.

    Cons

Sometimes you are not exactly sure when to address your director, instructions were sometimes poor, but overall satisfied with the experience

    Advice to Management

I believe HR staff should be more attentive, there were times did not pay attention to when someone's contract was coming to an end etc, so employees were feeling very unsure as to what will happen next.
