I have been working at Cameron full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

It is like a family here, love the people I work with and work for.

Cons

The growth in this company is slow. Typically, you have to be approached by HR to be considered for a promotion. Many times, if you apply for a position, it has already been field before it has be put on the internet.

Advice to Management

My advice to management, is to give their employees a contract of expressed years of work while overseas or in other cities in the United States. Example, Contract that states employee will work in Oman for 3 years and then will be given the opportunity to move back to the United States.

    I have been working at Cameron full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Cameron is a great company to work for at anything above a Director level. The programs, initiatives, and "excellence," however, are rarely experienced by those lower in the hierarchy. Training is encouraged and promoted, but once again not readily available to lower-than-director positions.

    Cons

    Serious structural changes and a renewed vision of what truly makes the company unique need to be reconsidered. The internal programs to improve engagement rarely change the world of anyone below a Director or Manager level, which causes further frustration with the system. Generally, HR managers are not trustworthy enough to keep employee concerns to a constructive communication format, which instead populates into gossip.

    Advice to Management

    Truly listen to your lower level employees. While corporate-wide initiatives and proposed programs are great, if they do not change the day-to-day world of your employees, they have failed.
