Pros

Very smart people. Very competitive in terms of the external marketplace. Takes action when its needed to stay current and relevant in the marketplace. Strong training ground for marketers.

Cons

Very demanding place to work. Very hard to achieve any kind of work/life balance. They will 'lean in' to job responsibilities but take their time in catching up the title and compensation to those job responsibilities.

Advice to Management

Keep pushing the sound strategic plans in the marketplace. Keep working on the workplace piece. Its too easy to burn out there.

    continue to work towards improving the consistency among management. Many policies are at the discretion of particular managers and there are some inconsistencies.

    Employees at campbell have tremendous pride in the company and the company's products. The senior leadership of the company is outstanding. In particular, Doug Conant "gets it" - he is a leader who inspires a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and dogged determination. At Campbell you have the autonomy to do your job in a culture that operates from the principle of "do what's right" from the top down. Campbell has very competitive compensation and benefits and is clearly focused on recruiting and developing talent. The company is a "small, big company" where a high performer can truly make a difference.

    The company is playing catch-up in business systems.

    Stay the course.
