I have been working at Camping World full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Customers are enjoyable, the pace is slower

Cons

Company does not value its employees. Current employees have not had a raise in 5 to 7 years.

Advice to Management

Our employees are our greatest asset.

    I worked at Camping World full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The amount of team work among employees at store. Great place to work if you want management to tell you "do it or we'll find someone who will".

    Cons

    Too many to list. Steer clear. Watched employees work day in and day out when postings for their jobs were on online job boards. Employees success not based on performance as stated by management - more so the upper management "click" factor. Nothing is of corporate struture. More so what can we get done by the who owes us fear factor.

    Advice to Management

    Need to start over and look for professional candidates. CW would be far more profitable with professional and experienced management. I would think if Marcus Lemonis knew of the practices at his locations he'd fire many on the spot including RVP's and support staff.

    Pros

    Great people at local level

    Cons

    No follow thru with what is promised. When positions are "eliminated" and you have to accept promotion otherwise you have to quit your job is unfair and misleading.

    Advice to Management

    Provide training when you "promote" so employees know what is expected of them and how to perform their jobs accordingly to meet the numbers that are pushed hard.
