Pros

Lots of responsibility and technical challenges. Learned a lot. Other operators were willing to help/answer questions if needed. Solved real problems. Days went by fast, there was always something to do.

Cons

Remote location--not for everybody. Long hours and on call during shift.

Advice to Management

More structured training during first shift or two

I have been working at Canadian Natural Resources as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

They give you good work/projects to work on. Treat you professionally and take care of you. Pay for relocation expenses and provide plenty of training. Great growth potential.

    Cons

Emphasize on being a low cost producer too much which can be restricting when it comes to spending both on projects and supplies required for work such as company trucks.

    Advice to Management

Splurge on your employees more often and you will be rewarded with better loyalty and happiness from your employees.
