I worked at Canadian Tire part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Good schedule, I did not have to work to many hours by week.
Work stability.
Overall, great colleagues.
Easily accessible.

Cons

No recognition of work seniority in profit of newer employees.
No raise, except the one of the minimum salary.

Advice to Management

Develop a way to make sure all employees, full or part time, get recognized for their work seniority and their daily good work.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Canadian Tire full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company benefits are good. The employee discount, stock purchase program and profit sharing are good incentives to join. However the base compensation is lagging behind the industry.

    Cons

Siloed approaches, petty politics, too many approvals required to get anything done, Sr Managment out of touch with the employee reality, ridiculous chair of the board.

    Advice to Management

Stop talking and start doing, remove the head of the board who worries more about peope's clothes than their contributions.
