    I have been working at Canon Solutions America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Certain divisions have autonomy and wonderful work ethics. Backed by a strong, stable company in Canon USA and at the top, Canon Inc.

    Cons

    Management holds all the power to a ridiculous extent. Only a few of the top brass can sign off on anything -- even Sr. VP's have a minimal signing authority. New facility in Melville, NY is run with an iron fist and the rules treat people like children who can't make their own decisions.

    Advice to Management

    Upper management needs to distribute more authority to its division leaders, and trust them to run their business. Systems and processes need to be reexamined, investing some money in to automate, which will quickly bring the savings that they are looking for.
