Pros

You will find everything here that a club has- People in fancy clothes, Spare time to chit chat, have lot of tea and snack breaks, lot of free time on internet, Gossips, and parties. Cab service of the company is excellent and efficient.

Cons

Like every club , there is one person in the club who thinks he owns the club and yes this club also has a person who heads this Pune Club . I worked here for 11 months and in my entire career of 4.5 years I have never regretted my decision of joining a company besides joining this company. This is probably the first and only company on planet earth where leads and developers are more worried about bench than the managers. Let me be honest here, things are not the same in Capco across the globe, I have interacted with people in Bengaluru (India) and in other international locations- It has some good projects and very efficient management in all other locations, so its not a bad company to join just avoid Pune Club :). Projects are secured by the company based on its brand name but in few months they are lost due to inefficient leadership. In my tenure I saw two clients pulling out of Capco just because the management could not manage the relationship. Developers were disappointed as they could not see their efforts go live. I also want to warn people who plan to join Pune Capco, that you be threatened everyday by leadership if you are not part of their clan....Yes there is a Clan of Family and friends at leadership of Pune. Also you will not be able to raise any concerns as the HR is tamed by the leadership and has no authority. Work from Home policies are biased. Family and friends of leader are allowed free WFH decision while everyone else is threatened even though they are on bench. My last piece of advice to everyone who wants to join or is already working in Capco Pune- Move to Bengaluru, take a project and move to client site or QUIT. Pune location is a perfect example of " People do not leave organisation, they leave managers (read leadership in this case)

Thank you for your review, however we are concerned to read your comments your review paints a picture of Capco that we just do not recognize. You remark that the Pune office is not representative of wider Capco and our other offices and we would welcome a conversation with you to understand more about your experiences. If you are open to a confidential discussion, please reach out to our regional HR Lead, Dharani Medappa or our Global HR Director, David Heffernan.

Pros

Varied client work — Different clients and project types, which keeps things interesting. Real project mobility — You can move between projects when you advocate for yourself (within reason). Approachable leadership — Senior leaders are open to conversations if you reach out. Good development resources — Plenty of training and growth opportunities if you take advantage of them. Strong teams — Colleagues are smart, capable, and great to work with. Entrepreneurial environment — New ideas are encouraged, and there’s room to take initiative.

Cons

Long hours vary by project — Like most any professional job, some engagements require extended hours for prolonged periods, but work–life balance really depends on the client and team. Additional internal responsibilities — Depending on level, there can be a significant amount of firm‑support work outside of client delivery. Domain alignment not guaranteed — You may not always be staffed on projects that match your domain expertise. Coaching alignment constraints — Coaching relationships are tied to domain, which limits flexibility in choosing formal mentors. Long engagements (sometimes) — Some projects run for long durations or through multiple extensions. It can provides stability but may reduce variety in client and project experience depending on what you’re looking for.
