I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Stable Co in terms of job stability and one that can afford to pay a decent salary. Company does offer online courses to further individual education for each Preston's area of expertise.

Cons

Company doesn't value it's employees. Resources are over worked and terribly unrecognized for their effort. Bad Management overall. Business processes are very poor and badly implemented. No follow up on employee' s well being whatsoever . High turn over of Senior Management

Advice to Management

Do Not choose jobs at this Co LA Location, perhaps it's better at other States.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great opportunities - especially for those who come into the company via Campus program (heck, even the CEO came out of campus)
Opportunity to work in a variety of industries
Good Pay and Great Benefits - 3 weeks vacation MINIMUM!! VC, Profit Sharing. All travel costs covered by company and you get to keep your miles and hotel awards (many consulting firms let the company accrue these)

    Cons

100% travel - you may be on the beach sometimes, but when you are not you are on the road
Political Company - you have to really network to do well at Cap - partially because people are on various projects and not in an office, you have to work to make sure people know who you are.
Work/Life Balance can be tough - type A, bright employees work a lot of hours.

    Advice to Management

More transparency with open roles within Company.
Can we get some better hardware? Access to Mac products would be great!

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Compensation was average with the other big consulting firms.

    Cons

I spent my first month looking for my manager which wasn't assigned to me until 5 weeks after my hire date. I spent another 2 months on the bench with little information and contact. I got a call out of the blue to become a PMO (Secretary) for a Sr manager. I didn't take technical classes and have 5 yrs of technical experience to become a PMO analyst.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire if you can't win a project
