    I have been working at Capita full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    It's a job and will have to do for the time being. But as soon as the job scene improves, I will be running out to get another job.
    Other staff are very supportive and we always have a laugh. W

    Cons

    Its all about cost and nothing else matters. A lot of lip service about values and caring about staff but in reality, we are all just a number. Lots of extra hours and weekend work required to meet our targets. Senior Management don't understand the business and what we do yet we are all treated like little kids. Too many restructures which are confusing and demoralising. Bad for morale that 3 of old Senior Managers (who were very good and knew the business and techincal issues) have all left without having secured jobs before they left.

    Advice to Management

    Remove these people who swan over from the UK each week and who waste huge amounts of money with hotels, air fares, taxis (everywhere) and meals. They arrive over each week and do nothing but talk a lot of nonsense.. Instead spend the money on rewarding those of us who work hard and go the extra mile. Get a team of Senior Managers who understand our buisness and who will appreciate the staff and the work we do.

    Pros

    Big ticket projects
    Online training courses available
    TUPEd staff seem positive about the change

    Cons

    Many mandetory online modules to take in a short period of time
    Disparate management who don't know their teams
    Difficult to know who to speak to about anything
    No authority even for senior managers to sign off spend

    Advice to Management

    Make things more personal - people have to feel like they belong to something.
