I worked at Capital One as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Great work-life balance and culture. The people I worked with legitimately wanted to help customers - it wasn't just an empty saying. Promotions also come quickly on average.

Cons

Lower than average pay, which is supposed to be offset by the work-life balance and work culture.

I have been working at Capital One full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Vacation, sick days,401k plan and assistance with education

    Cons

They are trying to be a more modern bank but do not have the tools to be so. The online banking always has issues and tht causes alot of customers to complain. The are looking to close some brAnches and turn some into self serve branches. Or limited service branches. They always are changing things in procedures and protocols and the retention system is horrible.hey have like 6 different programs they use to maintain a customers profile or to do any simple maintenance. They use so much unnecessary paperhey need to go green.

    Advice to Management

Listen to all of your employees not just the branch managers, they make employees feel like they are not important.
