I worked at Capital One part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

The pay was ok, tuition reimbursement, they were very generous with vacation - if you are not a manager, you are started off with 4 weeks and after your 5th year, you get 5 weeks, the hours in a branch were not bad, the training was the only thing fun about the company, they are involved in the community.

Cons

They hire the most incompetent managers , Capital One does not back their lower level employees against management. Capital One is all about sales. Management declines vacation time, there was not room to grow, Capital One is constantly restructuring, eliminating positons. Everything is "management discretion" the guide lines and policies are not followed

Advice to Management

Respect your employees, look into complaints made against management, dont allow retaliation. The "upper management" should micro-manage branch and district managers to assure these things do not continue to happen

I have been working at Capital One full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great co-workers
    Decent Pay
    Bonuses
    Management is really friendly

    Cons

Things are constantly changing causing issues with performance
    Call Center Job
Weird and unusual schedules that are hard to change
Pay and it's hard to hit bonuses

    Advice to Management

Its a good company to work for and i feel that they are trying however the connection from employee to manager isnt there how can someone coach you on how to do your job if they haven't done it themselves. Manangement should be required a few hours each week to take calls with the team
