Approves of CEO

I have been working at Capital One full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Good and friendly people to work with. They have a good atmosphere and good pay. They are very supportive and active with volunteering. They are very open to moves throughout the company so you don't have to feel trapped in the job you are in as long as you are performing well.

Cons

Non performance means being shown the door fairly quickly. They allow flexiblity to work from home when needed, but don't expect to get ahead while doing it (being allowed and being happy about it are two different things).

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work.

I worked at Capital One full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The interview process is short and sweet. After filling out the application, the process is very efficient.

    Cons

After obtaining the job, there is no job security. They give you four-five days in the call center - GCS to learn over 8 systems. They do not provide the appropriate training to maintain the scores necessary to keep the job. Capital One sets employees up to fail because they do not allow time for training of the systems available for use.

    Advice to Management

My advice to upper management is to train in the book for at least four weeks, including training on the several systems necessary to be successful, train on the floor for at least four weeks, so the new hires are able to grasp the information as well as the systems. Capital One sets everyone up to fail. This should be looked at immediately.
