Approves of CEO

I have been working at Capital One full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

- Excellent Benefits
- Work/Life Balance
- Rewards and Recognition for Hard Work
- Alot of Opportunities to Showcase your Work
- Excellent Training & Learning Opportunities

Cons

- Too many business people bogging down IT
- Business managers pushing their agile agenda & other management gimicks

Advice to Management

Cut the excessive amount of micro-managers at every level. Use budget savings to reward developers & IT workers. Developers do all of the real work. Middle managers mostly sit around, get bored, and try to create extra work for developers because they have nothing better to do. It doesn't take 3 business people to manage 2 developers.

I have been working at Capital One full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Large Cap Company, benefits, and no shortage of promotions

    Cons

No direction, uncertainty in the leadership roles, horrible training and support

    Advice to Management

Learn the diversity of your markets and you will have a competitive advantage over your peers. Also, reward those who desereve such and treat them with respect. Shareholder profit is vital, but should not be at the expense of those who pour their blood, sweat, and tears into the company and sacrifice their own work-life balance. Disrgrace to employee engagement.

    Pros

Nice work place, good benefits to employees, but not to the contractors

    Cons

Even though contractors form 80% of capital one, but they are not treating well.

    Advice to Management

    Please treat contractors equally.
