I worked at Capital One full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Great benefits, good work life balance. There is a lot of consideration and thought given to the work environment which makes going to the office relatively comfortable.

Cons

Some managers do not know how to manage. They take the approach of "I'm always right and you just need to accept that" and they are not open to discussion or an alternate view.

Advice to Management

Watch how you treat minorities, race, age, gender you say we appreciate diversity but my manager certainly did not.

I worked at Capital One full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company with extraordinary benefits. Nice people and rapidly growing. They offer some of the best facilties for employees that i have seen. Great gym, great cafe, and personal trainers are some of the small perks for those who live an active and fit lifestyle.

    Cons

constant broken promises, uneducated managers, sexual favoritism. These traits cast a heavy shadow over the company, at least in the mortgage department and through several other LOBs

    Advice to Management

Better screening and behaviorial interviews with People Managers because majority of the managers are not leaders, but rather friends of employees
