Good to work if you have a great team to spend your time in the branches

    Pros

    Very selective hiring process ensures above average talent. Benefits are ok but not great.

    Cons

    They hire talented people with diverse backgrounds, but once you are on board your opinion means nothing. Calibrations and forced rankings causes a "Lord of the Flies" mentality to reviews instead of evaluating people on the merits of their work.

    Advice to Management

    Don't bring in the best if you don't want to hear want their opinions are.

    Pros

    Some teams allow you to work from home a few days a week

    Cons

    Compensation - pay is low and merit increases are horrible yet the company gave shareholders dividends last year. "Strong" and "Very Strong" ratings can net you less than 2% - with inflation you lose money!
    With it being a relatively young company, some employees have been promoted by virtue of just being here a long time. Some have held no other jobs outside of COF and are unable to bring different perspectives to the table as a result. Promotions are also garnered politically; work horses aren't often rewarded.
    Analyst turnover is high leaving many teams under-staffed and top heavy.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of your employees financially! Appreciation lunches and team events don't pay the bills and just result in longer work days for understaffed teams.
