I worked at Capital One full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    * Good culture, well meaning employees, work life balance. I enjoyed my time there. My supervisors were good and I appreciated the training.

    Cons

Roles are very boring. traffic is slow. lack of infrastructure to support some branches, no exceptions to policy for promotion. Time in must be 1 year to move to any internal position.

I have been working at Capital One full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company is big on movement within Capital One. There are many opportunities to change departments or expand skills in a different area of the company.

    Cons

They talk a lot about work/life balance but have shut down work from home programs for many departments. Company vision is myopic, believing that Richmond is the center of the universe and the other locations don't matter.
Meetings, meetings, then more meetings to discuss the meetings previously held.

    Advice to Management

Capital One is a large corporation with multiple locations. It's time to begin acting that way, thinking beyond the VA state lines. Learn to work across territories more efficiently. Respect your "worker bees", as they are the ones who carry the heavy load.
