    Pros

    Capital One was a phenomenal place to work; the leadership team is hands down one of the very best at Strategy so the company is not afraid of prioritizing hard problems that matter. The only old line company to fully transition into the cloud the company is customer centered and obsessed with heading in the right direction.

    Cons

    A complex regulatory environment does add some friction to the day to day processes; however a culture that assumes positive intent, is forward thinking, and consensus driven help teams to make progress.

    Pros

    Great culture. Good work life balance. Cares about their employees

    Cons

    Doesn’t necessarily pay as well as other places. Headquarters is in DC with a high cost of living

    Call Center Job that is a Dead End in Auto

    Pros

    Time off is great, benefits and retirement package are good too. Cap One is very supportive in diversity

    Cons

    There aren't many places to go other than being a Relationship Manager or an Area Sales Manager. THAT'S IT which makes the competition hard to move into management bc people won't want to leave management if that is a goal of yours. If you are not interested in management then you are stuck in your sales role so you can't move around and learn other interesting skills or job functions. It's a dead-end job sadly and Cap One Auto has made no improvements in trying to create new jobs other than just sales or management. So BE WARNED, if you are lucky to be chosen as a Relationship Manager or Area Sales Manager get comfortable. It definitely can cause burnout doing the same thing day in and day out with no prospects of learning new skills for new roles within the auto division. Do not be deceived, Relationship Manager is a call center role-if you are not a call center type this job isn't for you,if you plan to come in and move around don't come into Capital One Auto Finance--find another way into Capital One. I cannot stress enough that this is a DEAD END JOB and in NO way a Career.
