    Pros

    - Relaxed environment. If you're at least decent at your job stress is rarely part of the experience.
    - People are friendly and will often spend copious amounts of time chatting about friends and family, and it doesn't seem this behavior is ever discouraged.
    - Good for settling in to the lifelong 9-5 dream - If you're mediocre it's almost impossible to be fired (keeping in mind the layoff caveat mentioned in the cons)

    Cons

    - If you're good at your job frustration may be a part of the experience. It is not unusual for promotions, merit increases, etc, to be evaluated on a team basis rather than actual performance.
    - You may be let go thru no fault of your own to an expansive layoff/restructure, which has happened several times in the 5 or so years (both as CareFusion and when CareFusion was part of Cardinal Health).

    Advice to Management

This is a tough one. If you've ever seen the HBO series The Wire you will understand how a certain political structure is essential to keeping the city running... I could draw parallels to this place. I don't think people are necessarily bad per se, but it does seem like thinking is in the short term to pump up 'stats' rather than truly improve the corporate structure. Truly a new game plan must be put in place, and with it a replacement of a good deal of that structure.

    Pros

Most employees very professional and care about customers. Work can be very rewarding.

    Cons

Management not in touch with customers needs. More concerned about revenue than customer support.

    Advice to Management

Take care of the customer and your employees and the revenue will take care of itself. There were numerous occasions when the voice of the customer fell upon deaf ears. So much time and money was spent on culture trying to force that culture on employees when hiring the right people in the first place, especially in leadership positions would have let the culture develop on it' own.
