Pros

Makes you feel very important even though you maybe nothing!
Excellent communicational skills between people.
Punctual and fair recruiting procedure.
Rarely anyone is fired since company holds on to everyone for long term growth.

Cons

Poor starting salary in my opinion, does not attract the best of the best.
Poor profit margins, hence no bonus.

Advice to Management

Make the graduate salary and scheme more attractive so that it attracts the best minds to further improve the company's profits, and hence improve employees wages!

    Pros

Cargill is a very ethical company. They do what they say they are going to do.

    Cons

Very busy schedule. There is no work life balance even though it is always discussed. You are expected to "tow the line". There is no work like balance if you do not work at the corporate office.

    Advice to Management

Work on the implementation planning for major changes and projects. Management would like to see major projects completed but have no since of what preplanning should be completed before major projects bidded.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Solid people, great processes, lots of industry knowledge.

    Cons

Culture varies by business group and not always obvious. Company wants to be more customer focussed but sales and marketing functions do not lead the company or it's business units.

    Advice to Management

Work harder on making sure talent from the outside is given a chance to succeed. Very little feedback given to new employees. Senior level mentors could help new employees adapt to new culture better.
