Pros

There is a great family vibe throughout the company. They actually do care about you and offer many great benefits.

Cons

The pay is not as good as it should be. Although they are good at moving people horizontally in the company, it is harder to move vertically. Too many people worry about office politics.

Advice to Management

Give employees better feedback on how to move vertically within the company. Evaluate employees based on skills, not based on office politics.

    Pros

Interesting clients, nice co-workers, flexibility in work schedules

    Cons

This division of CWT was acquired through Carlson’s purchase of another company. Having previously worked for a different division of Carlson Companies, I am shocked that this area calls itself CWT. No standardization of processes, antiquated approach to business, no due diligence when selecting vendors, some projects taken on WITHOUT written contracts, no tracking of profit, no knowledge of ROI continuous improvement or risk management. No sense of teamwork, very siloed approach to projects, no collaboration, there are not even scheduled team meetings, “too busy” to take time out. Industry experience has no value, most important aspect of job is if management likes you. Best description of the mind set is “we’ve always done it this way, why should we change”.

    Advice to Management

Do not be afraid of change
