Approves of CEO

I have been working at Carnegie Mellon University full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

I've worked in higher ed for over 20 years and CMU is like no other employer I ever worked. So much energy and willingness to solve problems. Communications great in and between teams. At CMU, they strive to lead the way for others. Management supportive of career development and those at the top make it a point to know what you are working on and want input how to assist. Hard work is rewarded.

Cons

Very dynamic, sometimes hard to keep up with the pace. If looking for something that remains static, don't apply.

Advice to Management

Keep tweaking and continue to be supportive of your staff.

I have been working at Carnegie Mellon University part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice people and nice work environment, would learn a lot if really like it. I also get chance to contact with companies, which help me get used to business in the future.

    Cons

People do not push the work, especially if you are still at school. But people are really nice in general. You have to have motivation for the work by yourself.

    Advice to Management

It is great in general, and really good for long term professional development.
