Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Carroll University full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

The college has a rich history and a very charming environment. The college is doing well overall in difficult economy.

Cons

The senior management in health sciences has a consumer mentality. Program decisions are made by people in other disciplines without a strong appreciation. Inexperienced faculty have broad latitude to wreck the program without respect for academic staff with more experience. The upper level administration fail to respond to academic staff recommendations.

Advice to Management

Spend the money to hire the right people for starting a new program, instead of expecting a junior faculty member to do the job of a seasoned professor.

I worked at Carroll University part-time

    Pros

Very flexible with hours and understanding of the homework load. Managers are very patient, especially when it comes to new workers. They always have your back

    Cons

Other student workers sometimes made it harder to do the job because they would just sit there and do nothing. Other times, it was hard because they wouldn't pay attention to the processes during training and it constantly had to ask how to do something.

    Advice to Management

Maybe have one or two days, depending who is working, to have one experienced worker train with the newbies all day.
