I have been working at Cash America full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Not always the same thing.

Cons

Working holidays and open Sundays. They overload with to many products to offer and forget the
core buisness of being a pawnshop.

Advice to Management

Be more about being a pawnshop and not oveloading with too many things.

I worked at Cash America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

No Sunday Hours....close at 5 on Saturdays

    Cons

Cash Amercia has more than one company within them. If your work for Cash America you are better off then working for Cashland. The Cash America policy is much better for employees than the Cashland one even though you are told you have the same policies. At Cashland it depends on how well you are liked on if you are going to go anywhere in the company. You are promised one thing and given another. If you are in a salaried position you are told that we will work a 45 hour work week but really it ends up being 6 days a week and about 55-60 hours. If you go to upper management about an issue, nothing is going to happen.

    Advice to Management

I think that the upper management needs alot more HR experience in dealing with situations that happen. I really think that someone in the corporate office really needs to look into what is going on in the regions and look at it as a whole. The problem is not the employees, its the upper management.

I have been working at Cash America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility and opportunity to learn something new every day

    Cons

Haven't seen great opportunity for advancement or increase in pay

    Advice to Management

Consider some promotion from within. Offer larger base income, perhaps it would motivate less productive producers to contribute to the TEAM as a whole
