Pros

Best and most thorough training I’ve ever attended. I verbally said multiple times through out the training that I’m just so thankful this exists after years of really poor training at other establishments from prior jobs. Work remotely. Benefits. Lots of random benefits that really add up and make a difference. PTO and Sick Time policy is good. And they add on another week of PTO after one year employed with them. It’s extremely easy to request time off and it’s encouraged. You are not guilt tripped when you use sick time which is a new experience for me… and I’m so thankful. Coolest group of people you could work with. So many walks of life, personalities, laughs and conversations. Great people to connect with. A genuine group of people. The leaders are thoughtful and welcoming, always approachable. You are given very good equipment to work with. The job itself is something I love doing. Challenges me every day but in the best ways. Work life balance is a thing! Overtime offered occasionally and you can sign up. Holidays are paid and you have option to request off. Always changing, it’s exciting.

Cons

Can’t really think of anything other than being nit-picky… Christmas and Thanksgiving not automatically given off. Always changing, although good, can also be a little wonky. Lots of trial and error. Sometimes communication gets a little lost but it’s usually smooth sailing. No big Cons.

Pros

Great work life balance and culture - really kind and intelligent people.

Cons

* Absent and ineffective senior leadership. They don't understand the product or industry. * The CEO (Brian G) was largely absent for years—many employees rarely saw or heard from him, and some didn’t even realize we had an active CEO. By the time he was pushed out, the damage had already been done and the company had entered a downward spiral. Jack has stepped in, but he’s also largely absent, often more focused on celebrity circles than on running the business. * The company lacks Product Leadership or a clear product vision. Much of the leadership team doesn’t understand the fintech landscape and doesn’t even use the product themselves. After years of mismanagement, many remain in place largely because they’re personally connected to one another. * Most of the leaders have only experience at Block/Cash App and don't understand how to run an org this large, or how to drive growth and retention - they've just been coasting for years without consequences for their repeated failures. They would never survive in a high performing org.
