I worked at Cedar Fair part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Free access to all cedar fair parks...discounted food and discounts at businesses around town. Fun work environment. Tons of hours and opportunities to pick up shifts in other departments

Cons

Rent in dorms was a little pricey compared to how much we were paid per hour. Management wasn't always the most approachable.

Advice to Management

Give opportunities for fair hours...don't give all long shifts to the same employees and all short shifts to the rest. We all have to make enough to live off of.

I worked at Cedar Fair part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You can apply online or on-site and every applicant is interviewed.
It's also fairly easy to get hired if they're in need of workers and if you apply early enough, before the season begins, you will probably be able to pick your position.
If you work a lot or work multiple years, you have a decent chance to be promoted to a lead or supervisor position.

    Cons

Keep in mind that this is seasonal work and that all of the entry-level positions are minimum wage.
The middle-management isn't the friendliest, probably because many of the seasonal workers are teenagers and can be difficult to deal with.
Work-life balance is difficult to maintain, as shifts are long, usually 8 or 9 hours.
The dress code is strict and the required uniforms are often a bit worn.
    Rules are very strict.
Few positions will have air-conditioning and it gets very hot.

    Advice to Management

Loosen up on rules and regulations to boost morale.
Schedule shorter shifts so employees are more productive.

I worked at Cedar Fair part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

An excellent way for people of all ages to have some form of summer employment. Also have access to the park whenever they want.

    Cons

Although a great place to work. The heat does pose a major issue for the associates out there. Kind of dangerous but plenty of water was provided.
