I worked at Cedar Sinai Park full-time

    Pros

There are some staff who have worked there for a decade or more and are so dedicated to the wonderful, warm residents. Time interacting with the residents and patients was rewarding.

    Cons

I've watched CSP flop and flounder since I started, during my tenure, and after I left. How long do you give an organization to dig themselves out of a hole they created? It's a revolving door at the top, three CEO's in five years, and other top leadership coming on with big paychecks while loyal staff go without pay raises and bonuses. They don't support career growth, but instead promote people in desperation to fill...

    Advice to Management

If you are seeking a job, look elsewhere. This industry is booming and the job market is competitive. You can do better. Management, look at who you are trusting to lead the way out of this hole. Change has to start at the top. Listen to your staff, from the bottom up, and reexamine who is holding the keys to this mess.

I have been working at Cedar Sinai Park full-time

    Pros

Finally they pushed out the administrator at the rehab. He was bringing down the whole vibe and the worst boss I have ever had. The culture is much better now. The rest of the leadership are truly amazing people and the company treats people very well. Employees are very valued.

    Cons

Can be slow to make necessary changes and get rid of people.

    Advice to Management

Do not let the wrong people stay so long.

I worked at Cedar Sinai Park full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

    Lovely Residents and Families here.

    Cons

Cedar Sinai Park is a company that has been in turmoil for far too many years now. They have had several executive staff changes and none of it seems to be helping. They took the approach of "work harder and faster," but has not given department managers cost of living increases for the last two years. Most recently they began cutting their workforce and letting long term employees go just to cut expenses. They schlepped...

    Advice to Management

Walk in your employees shoes if even only for a day. You should have taken the time to know what each department is responsible for, not just in theory, but what they realistically do before you decide to cut their position. The best executives know how their business works from the ground up. It is your front end staff and support team who are running your business and you owe it to them to understand what they REALLY...
