I worked at Cedar Sinai Park full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

The employees and residents and patients are the most wonderful people you ever met.

    Cons

The leadership here are truly the most toxic group of people you ever met. One of them threatens anyone who does not agree with him. You cannot cross him without retaliation. He is truly scary and no telling what lengths he will go to. The kitchen makes daragotory comments about his employees. Someone in admissions brings her children to work and spends more time with them then at her job. The administrator is the most...

    Advice to Management

You need to stop being passive before you are more broke over a lawsuit for unlawful treatment of employees. Listen to the employees who have been loyal for over 15 years. Hire people who care. Do not hire people to fill the gap or make quick decisions of promoting someone who is not capable. Take your time to search and find CARING people. The CEO needs to open his eyes and give the good people of leadership more control...

    Cedar Sinai Park Response

    April 3, 2019Talent Acquisition

This is Marty B. the CEO. For the last year and a half as CEO I have worked hard to recruit and guide leaders that can help Cedar Sinai Park serve our residents and staff with dignity and respect, consistent with our founding core Jewish values and mission. I would like to hear about ...

I have been working at Cedar Sinai Park full-time

    Pros

Finally they pushed out the administrator at the rehab. He was bringing down the whole vibe and the worst boss I have ever had. The culture is much better now. The rest of the leadership are truly amazing people and the company treats people very well. Employees are very valued.

    Cons

Can be slow to make necessary changes and get rid of people.

    Advice to Management

Do not let the wrong people stay so long.

I worked at Cedar Sinai Park full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

    Lovely Residents and Families here.

    Cons

Cedar Sinai Park is a company that has been in turmoil for far too many years now. They have had several executive staff changes and none of it seems to be helping. They took the approach of "work harder and faster," but has not given department managers cost of living increases for the last two years. Most recently they began cutting their workforce and letting long term employees go just to cut expenses. They schlepped...

    Advice to Management

Walk in your employees shoes if even only for a day. You should have taken the time to know what each department is responsible for, not just in theory, but what they realistically do before you decide to cut their position. The best executives know how their business works from the ground up. It is your front end staff and support team who are running your business and you owe it to them to understand what they REALLY...
