I have been working at Cengage full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Best part of working at Cengage is being able to telecommute 2 days a week. But I heard that was going away--BIG MISTAKE! No reason to be in the office 5 days a week since most of the folks I work with are offsite vendors.

    Cons

Upper management is clueless about employee morale and really doesn't care about it. They're trying to fashion themselves as a "software publisher" when in actuality, the only digital product they have is mediocre at best. They want to stop publishing print books but can't because print is still their main source of revenue. The company has gone through one bankruptcy and will probably go through another.

    Advice to Management

    Start dealing with reality.
