I have been working at CenturyLink full-time (More than a year)

Pros

This Company Offeres Competitive Pay and incentives for its associates. Unlike others I;ve worked for who would let a department go on the fly to save by restructuring this company does exceedingly well. The CEO is wonderful aswell. Though like most conmpanies that have hick-ups and financial adjustments that impact the employees, Centurylink does well to minimize any collateral damage on associates and communities alike, that itself makes me proud to be apart of their team.

Cons

Centurylink like most companies at this time undergo financial changes to compensation and as a part of the retail sector. It has become increasingly difficult to maintain the quotas set by centurylink in part due to this economic situation that some refuse to acknowledge.

Advice to Management

While companies have a responsibility to the Shareholders, you have a responsibility to us aswell. please restructure your quotas to flow with the economic trends. Certain Locations struggle to compete against competitive products that offer more for less. Therefore selling services of half the calibur that the competition use is an accomplishment in itself.

I have been working at CenturyLink full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits, Bonuses, some good supervisors. Salary is ok.

    Cons

    To much mandatory overtime
Treated like 2 year old about time going to rest room or breaks etc
    Customers are not important
To many reps will steal your sales to make theirs
    To much gossip and backbiting

Don't worry about anything but how much you sell. If you are dishonest and can scam you will keep your job.

    Advice to Management

You got rid of some very good employees while I worked there because they were short on their quota. Stop raising the quotas to ridiculous amounts and expecting people to be able to do it. Clean out the reps that are slamming and instead of rewarding them. Stop working people to death with mandatory overtime. Stop misleading your customers and go back to customer service. It seems quantity is more important then quality.
