I have been working at CenturyLink full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

The legacy Qwest folks still are the same nice, non-office-politics types.

Cons

The new CenturyLink folks are old-school office-politics, throw you under the boss types.

    I worked at CenturyLink full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    casual work environment and dress code
    mostly friendly co-workers
    decent cafeteria and food
    okay benefits(once brought on as a full time employee)

    Cons

    low pay-especially for schedule and work performed
    ever-changing work schedules
    micro-management
    lack of professionalism
    poor to average equipment/building/work conditions
    bad communication within-esp form management to employee on expectations etc...

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees like adults. Compensate them accordingly for prior experience. Work more as a team with the best interest of the customer truly at the forefront

    Pros

    There was plenty advancement opportunities and management was knowledgeable and fair.

    Cons

    You could have to move to another state do to call center closures

    Advice to Management

    Some coaches needed to better identify those elligible for career pathing and encourage employees to follow a career path.
